Transmitting across a 60-mile radius, the station’s signal is carried on over 35 cable systems in the four-state region, enriching lives through quality programs and services that educate, engage and inspire a lifetime of learning and exploration.

Bob Culkeen, President & CEO
Bob Culkeen is the President and CEO of WTCI-PBS in Chattanooga. Bob and his wife Beth moved to Chattanooga in 2020.
Bob has worked in many positions throughout the public media and education field since 1979. His experiences include various positions and responsibilities at university and community licensees, and university production centers.
His career includes:
General manager of WSRE and Executive Director of the WSRE-TV Foundation (2016-2020)
Chief Operating Officer (2014-2016), Station Manager (2012-2014) at Illinois Public Media - WILL-TV-FM-AM
VP of Technical Operations (2006-2012), Director of Station Operations (2000-2004), and Engineering Manager (1998-2000) at WJCT in Jacksonville, Florida
Assistant Director of Video Service and Distance Learning at Westfield State University (MA) from March 1983 to April 1998
Bob began his career at WUFT (FL) in September 1979 as a Master Control Operator. While at WUFT, he also held the positions of Special Project/Remote Engineer and Chief Videographer
Throughout his career, Bob has served on various boards and joined in many community activities.
As President and CEO of WTCI-PBS, Bob is focused on service to the community through public media. It is important to him to lead a team of professionals and to provide opportunities for them to improve in all aspects of their positions.
He and his wife, Beth, have 3 children and 2 grandchildren.
