East Tennessee PBS is a non-profit, viewer-supported public broadcasting station dedicated to providing lifelong learning opportunities to more than two million viewers in East Tennessee, Southwest Virginia and Western North Carolina.

East Tennessee PBS is available to everyone in our viewing area through antenna, cable, and satellite services. Our programming can also be viewed on digital platforms on computers or on the PBS Video App for tablets, smartphones and set-top boxes including Roku, AppleTV, Amazon Fire, and Chromestick.
East Tennessee PBS understands that substantial and sustainable growth can only be achieved through the collaboration of the entire organization and are united with a consistent message. Vickie Lawson, CEO
Vickie has worked for East Tennessee PBS for 26 years.
1996 - Part-Time Assistant to Frank Miller in the education department
Took over Membership department as Membership Manager, June of 1997. Vickie worked in that position while successfully developing a new membership strategy.
In 2005, Vickie assumed partial business manager duties when the former business manager took over as President.
In 2010, Vickie was appointed by the East Tennessee Public Communications Corporation Board of Trustees to lead East Tennessee PBS as CEO
Vickie's Board Services
Chairman of Tennessee Public Television Council, which consists of all public televisions in the state.
Host "Tennessee Life" on East Tennessee PBS. The show is about people who proudly call Tennessee home.
Serves on Executive Board of APTs which serves all PBS stations as their federal liaison to all government agencies in Washington D.C., such as the House of Representatives and Senators at the Capitol building.
Past Chair of NETA (National Education Television Association) Executive Committee, based in Columbia, South Carolina. They serve all public television stations and independent stations across the United States with content and business services.
Treasurer of SSA (Small Station Association for Public Television stations across the United States).
Co-Chair of AGC (Affinity Group Coalition, which is made up of Licensee across the Public Television System, including universities, state, and community media stations)
Treasurer of Piney Grove Baptist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee
Serves on several community boards and advisory committees
Vickie believes that public media such as East Tennessee PBS is strongly related to education from cradle to grave with passion given to the mission word "education." Vickie has a strong interest in non-profit, education, and community service organizations. She serves on several small community boards and associations.
